Sigla UAIC Iasi

The Faculty of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences, through its Sociology and Social Work Department, in partnership with Faculté des Sciences Economiques et Sociales de l'Université Lille 1 (France) is organising on 19-22 October 2011 the 10th edition of the French-Romanian School of Methodology in the Social Sciences called  "La recherche scientifique et la société" (Social Research and Society).

Aimed at lecturers and researchers as well as students and young alumni of advanced scientific research, this international scientific event showcases professors and researchers from France, Romania, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova. The topics on debate are the following:

1. The economic crisis and scientific research

2. Scientific research and public policy

3. Transnational scientific research

4. The ethics of scientific research

5. Miscellaneous

Participants: along with the foreign guests, staff of Al .I. Cuza or partner universities are welcome to submit papers, as well as Phd students and post-doctoral fellows.

Papers presented can be published in: Analele de sociologie, The Romanian Bioethics journal, Caiete Sociologice. A publication of the proceedings will be developed and submitted for evaluation to ISI Thomson.

Registration requirements:

  • Submitting the title and abstract of the paper by September 15, 2011 (they will enter a peer review process on 16-30 September, conducted by the Scientific Committee of the conference)
  • Submitting the final version of the paper by October 5, 2011

Registration fees for speakers: 200 lei; for all others: 50 lei for undergraduate students; 100 lei for post-graduate students and other specialists.
